Amboseli National Park

Amboseli National Park is where many safari travelers fall in love with Kenya. That's because this park packs a lot into a small space. Towering over it all is Mt Kilimanjaro (5895m), Africa's highest mountain: Kili may be in Tanzania, but the best views are from Amboseli. Wildlife highlights might include lions, cheetahs, spotted hyenas, zebras, giraffes, wildebeest, and, best of all, big-tusked elephants that you can get really close to. It's this combination of spectacular views and wildlife that really elevates Amboseli into the elite of Kenya's wildlife parks.

Day 4 Tuesday, April 7, 2026

Ol Pejeta Conservancy

You'll visit Ol Pejeta Conservancy and it's a unique safari experience. For a start, it's one of the best places in Kenya to see the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino), and the conservancy's black rhino population is the largest in the country. You can also visit the world's last two surviving northern white rhinos as well as the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary which shelters rescued chimps. Other wildlife possibilities include cheetah, hyena, giraffe and zebra, all of which can be seen roaming Ol Pejeta's savannah grasslands, river ecosystems and light woodlands.

Enjoy a mouthwatering breakfast and then take your leave for Olpajeta Conservancy, Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Afternoon

Arrive for check in and lunch at the Sweet waters Serena Camp

Late afternoon

After lunch you will relax a bit and then have an amazing afternoon game drive at 4pm

Handsome, large safari tents await you at Sweetwaters Serena Camp, in a fine location in Ol Pejeta Conservancy. The camp overlooks a waterhole, and there's a good chance you'll see rhinos (and possibly big cats) come down to drink by day or by night. The tents are among the loveliest in the conservancy, and there's a fine restaurant and a swimming pool too.

Day 5 Wednesday, April 8, 2026

Lake Nakuru National Park

Lake Nakuru National Park has lots of fans, and you're sure to be one after you visit. Although the park is only minutes away from the busy town of Nakuru, it has an incredible wildlife offering. This includes large numbers of both black and white rhino, endangered Rothschild's giraffes, pink flamingos, and lions that climb trees. This is one of only a handful of parks in Africa where you can see lions up in the branches. The view out over the lake from high on the escarpment is superb, while the lake itself is surrounded by acacia woodlands.

Day 6 Thursday, April 9, 2026

Masai Mara National Reserve

Many travelers fall in love with the Masai Mara National Reserve at first sight, and it's really easy to do. Here you can go looking for big cats, elephant, giraffe, hippo, buffalo, wildebeest, zebra and more (including black rhinos in the Mara Triangle). Birders come because more than 500 species have been recorded in the Mara. And best of all, you get to do it all across one of Kenya's best examples of classic safari terrain. The Masai Mara is a wonderful world of endless savannah grasslands, acacia woodlands and rolling hill country rising to the escarpments that line the reserve's perimeter. The Mara also lies in the heart of Maasai country.
